Salcombe Town Council has once again made the difficult decision NOT to run the Park & Ride bus this summer season as the pandemic continues to affect our everyday lives.

This decision was made at a time when strict social distancing restrictions were placed on public transport and therefore limited numbers were allowed on the bus. Along with not enough space for socially distanced queuing both at the car park and in town, the Council agreed that it was not viable or safe to provide a bus service again this year. Needing around 2 months’ notice to apply for an Order to put on the scheduled bus service, there also was not enough time to do this taking into consideration the Government’s Steps out of lockdown with their changeable dates.

There is, of course, the regular Tally Ho service No 164 which runs from the Beadon Rd/Onslow Rd crossroads to and from Shadycombe Road, and there is a timetable and map showing the route on the noticeboard at the Park & Ride (Walk). 164 timetable (tallyhoholidays.co.uk)
