Once again a SatNav has been followed blindly, leading to chaos on Bennett Road at lunchtime today, 22 June. Having got down to the start of the one way system at Newton Road, the articulated lorry driver was faced with quite a conundrum on how to get out of the pickle he found himself in! Luckily, the Mayor, Deputy Mayor and Town Clerk happned to be on the spot to come to the rescue, stopping traffic and leading him back up the hill to turn at the Sandhills Road/Devon Road junction. Thank you to everyone delayed by this incident for your patience.
