Cemetery Table Of Charges

Charges were reviewed and approved by Salcombe Town Council at its meeting on 23rd January 2019

There are three categories of charges:

  • Category ‘A’: Current living residents of the Civil Parish of Salcombe. This includes those who move away due to age or infirmity such as to live in a nursing home or with family. This also includes those who were resident within the last five years.
  • Category ‘B’: Children of the current living residents of the Civil Parish of Salcombe.
  • Category ‘C’: Non-residents or second home owners residing less than 183 days of the year within Salcombe.

Note 1: Treble Burial Plot – These will only be allowable on condition that the gravedigger provides a method statement for the preparation of a grave to a suitable depth.  The gravedigger must also have and provide proof of suitable insurance cover for this type of work (Cat ‘A’ & Cat ‘B’ £1050 – Cat ‘C’ £3150)

Note 2: Deeds of Exclusive Right of Burial purchased after January 1st 2010 have a term of 30 years

Note 3: Buy back of unused pre-purchased plots is allowable by Salcombe Town Council and will be reimbursed on the basis of the original price paid less a 10% administration fee (Reviewed & agreed by Council 23/01/2019)
