WORK TO TREE PRESERVATION ORDER TREES: GRANT OF EXEMPTION

• 0198/14/TW (No. 44) Reg: 3468 Site: Kinrar, Sandhills, Salcombe TQ8 8JP Grant to Remove main leader from Holm Oak. Prune back small diameter secondary’s away from BT lines to give approximately 1.5 to 2m clearance.

TREE PRESERVATION ORDER: REFUSAL OF CONSENT

• 2790/13/TW App. No: 3444 Site: Stoneleigh, Main Road, Salcombe TQ8 8LW Refusal to fell Ilex Oak due to amenity value and significant impact of works.

6. SHADYCOMBE CEMETERY

To receive a report with regard to a fallen tree at the perimeter of Shadycombe Cemetery and ratify the emergency works required to remove such from leaning on the adjacent property and car.

7. STREET NAMING AND NUMBERING – RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT AT BATSON CROSS

To note that the Salcombe Primary School children were requested to come up with name suggestions and to make four choices for submission to District Council and provide four competition prizes of £10 book tokens each to the four winners.

8. APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDING – EGREMONT

To consider a request by The Egremont Trust for a grant of £2000 towards matched funding required for their Heritage Lottery Funding application.

9. TRAINING AND PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIP

To consider:
• whether town council should join the Institute of Cemetery and Crematorium Management at a cost of £90 per annum
• the Cemetery Manager attending a Cemetery Management and Compliance Course in London on 13th March 2014 at a cost of £125 or £160
• the Town Clerk attending the Larger Local Councils Conference in Oxford on the 27th – 28th March 2014 for Continuing Professional Development at a cost of £320.

10. PARK AND RIDE

To consider:
• any feedback with regard to the Park and Ride layout plan;
• agree the timetable and charges for 2014 with regard to the bus service and
• the use of the Park and Ride by boat trailers placed within.

11. COUNCIL CAR PARK OPEN SPACE AREA

To consider the proposals with regard to volunteers clearing and replanting this area for the community.
